You must be at least 13 years old to use U In Review. By using the service, you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

We do not knowingly allow users under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

• You agree to provide a valid email address and accurate account information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You agree to notify us immediately at legal@uinreview.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions

Ownership

You own your journal entries and all content you submit to U In Review. We do not claim ownership of your personal data.

License to Us

By submitting content to U In Review, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service — including generating your AI-powered recaps. This license ends when you delete your content or your account.

AI Processing

You understand and agree that your journal entries will be processed by third-party AI services (currently Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT models) to generate your recaps. This is a core part of the service. By using the service, you consent to this processing.

Your Responsibilities

You agree not to submit content that:

• Violates any law or regulation
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains threats, harassment, or hate speech
• Includes personal information about other people without their consent

The weekly, monthly, and yearly recaps generated by U In Review are produced by artificial intelligence. By their nature, AI-generated summaries may:

• Omit, mischaracterize, or over-emphasize events from your entries
• Draw conclusions or identify patterns that do not accurately reflect your actual experience
• Contain errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies

Sarah Duncan Designs LLC, doing business as U In Review, does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated recaps for any purpose. These recaps are provided as a reflective tool only and should not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, professional, or any other decision-making purposes.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Create a competing product using our service, API, or proprietary content

U In Review currently offers a free tier of service. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription tiers in the future. If and when we do:

• You will be notified in advance of any pricing changes that affect your account
• Paid features will be clearly disclosed before any purchase
• Subscription and billing terms will be governed by additional terms presented at the time of purchase

You are not required to pay anything to use the service today. Free tier features may change over time.

By You

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion removes your personal data and journal entries in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• We determine your account poses a risk to other users or the security of our systems
• We discontinue the service (with reasonable advance notice)

In the event of termination for cause, you may not create a new account without our permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, U IN REVIEW DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. We recommend maintaining your own records of important personal milestones.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SARAH DUNCAN DESIGNS LLC, ITS OWNER, OFFICERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sarah Duncan Designs LLC (doing business as U In Review) and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), rather than in court. You waive any right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

You may opt out of the arbitration agreement within 30 days of first creating an account by emailing legal@uinreview.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the service and may delete your account.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sarah Duncan Designs LLC (doing business as U In Review) regarding the service
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right
• Assignment: You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign our rights with notice to you
